World of Warcraft Sha'tari Skyguard Complete Reputation Guide

Edit This Entry

NameSha'tari Skyguard Complete Reputation Guide
CategoryFaction
From the release of the Burning Crusade expansion, Blizzard has introduced tons of new Factions. Most of them are located in Outland, and a few are located in Azeroth. While leveling and doing instances in Outland, you can easily get a high reputation level from these factions. Shortly after, patch 2.1 was released and with this patch, several new factions were introduced. Together with the new factions, the new Daily Quest system was implemented as well to help the people raise their reputation levels with the new factions.

One of the new factions introduced in patch 2.1 is the Sha'tari Skyguard faction. This faction has based itself at the Blackwind Landing on the outskirts of Skettis, a remote land surrounded by mountains located at Southeastern Terokkar Forest. Skettis is elevated and will require you to have a flying mount to reach it. The Sha'tari Skyguard faction offers several new items, including the new epic flying mount, the Nether Ray.

Gaining reputation for this faction is pretty similar to how Cenarion Circle reputation grind in Silithus works. The arakkoa mobs, the giant walking trees, and the neutral kaliris in Skettis gives reputation for every kill, which lasts until Exalted level except for the Kaliris (lasts until end of Revered). Together with this, these Skettis mobs drop a certain item called Shadow Dust which you can use to turn in to a Skyguard NPC in Blackwind Landing in exchange for an Elixir of Shadows. This item is a consumable that can be used while in Skettis to enable you to see Time-Lost Arakkoa. They are ghost-like Arakkoa mobs which can only be seen and attacked by those who are under the effects of the elixir.

Daily Quest System
This is a new quest system implemented by Blizzard on the recent 2.1 patch release. These daily quests were placed to help with the raising of the different new factions that came with the 2.1 patch, as well as giving money rewards for those people that didn't have the time to actually farm for gold. The daily quests are basically like repeatable quests, but having a 1 day cooldown. This means you can do the daily quest now, and after you have finished it, you can't repeat the quest anymore for the rest of the day until the daily quest cooldown has passed. The daily quest cooldown reset is at around 4 am PDT. Since these quests have a decent amount of gold reward, there is a limit on how many daily quests you may do for a day. The daily quest limit is at 10 per day. If you're just starting to grind for reputation levels on the new factions, this may not be a problem to you, but will be later on when you have attained a very high reputation with the Netherwing faction for example, where you will get more daily quests everytime you reach a higher reputation level. This is a decent source of income for those people that have no time to farm for gold, especially those raiding people which usually have no time to farm and are still getting huge repair bills aside from their consumables spending.

Starting the Reputation Grind

Beside the flight path NPC in Shattrath City, you will find Yuula the Recruitment Officer for the Sha'tari Skyguard. This female Draenei NPC gives an initial quest for you to start questing for Sha'tari Skyguard. You need to have a flying mount before she can give you the quest.

Quest: Threat from Above (Non-repeatable)
From: Yuula (Shattrath City)
Reputation Reward: 250 Sha'tari Skyguard reputation points

This quest requires you to kill 20 Gordunni Ogres located to the north and above Shattrath City, at the Barrier Hills. These can be any type of the ogres around the place, but basically you will want to kill the non-elite ogres, since they can be easily dealt with. The only problem here are the patrolling elite ogre summoners. They are easily avoided, so just be careful while you are killing other ogres for the quest. Once you are done with killing 20 ogres, return to Yuula.

After doing the Threat from Above quest, Yuula will then give you the next quest to go to Skettis itself and start offering your services to the Sha'tari Skyguard.

Quest: To Skettis! (Non-repeatable)
From: Yuula (Shattrath City)
Reputation Reward: 10 Sha'tari Skyguard reputation points

After completing Threat from Above, Yuula will ask you to go to Skettis and help the Sha'tari Skyguard detachment there. Yuula will also give you a quest item called Explosive Package. This quest will just have you to fly over to Blackwind Landing in Skettis and deliver the Explosive Package to Sky Sergeant Doryn there.

After you have successfully delivered the Explosive Package, Sky Sergeant Doryn will now have a new quest to offer, and this is one of the Daily Quests available in Skettis. You can also start doing the other quests offered here for your Sha'tari Skyguard reputation.

Sha'tari Skyguard Main Quest Hub: Skettis, Terokkar Forest
There are two quest hubs for the Sha'tari Skyguard, and the main hub is located in Blackwind Landing, north of Skettis. When you arrive here with your flying mount, several quests are readily available for you.

Mob Details
Skettis Soulcaller - shadow caster Arakkoa which attacks with Shadow Bolts. Can also cast Slow and Call of the Grave.
Skettis Windwalker - arcane caster Arakkoa which casts Arcane Bolts. Also casts Cyclone and Shadow Mend.
Skettis Wing Guard - melee Arakkoa. Can cast Demoralizing Shout. Can Rend and deliver a Gushing Wound. Also has Retaliation.
Skettis Talonite - melee Arakkoa. Initially screams and calls a nearby Skettis Kaliri to help attack. Also has Knockdown and a throw attack.
Skettis Kaliri - neutral bird mob. Has a chance to attack you if you're near it and you are currently attacking an Arakkoa.
Monstrous Kaliri - large Kaliris which roam and patrol all over Skettis. Very annoying and should be avoided. Can Hamstring and stun you with Swoop (when in ground).
Time-Lost Skettis High Priest - holy caster Arakkoa which casts Holy Smite. Casts Flash Heal very often, which can be a problem.
Time-Lost Skettis Reaver - melee Arakkoa. Most often seen together with a High Priest.
Time-Lost Skettis Worshipper - melee Arakkoa. Can mostly be seen on the ground and not on the treetops.
Talonsworn Forest-Rager - large tree elemental mobs which roam around Skettis. These are elites so be careful not to get passed on while it patrols. A very good source of herbs and motes of life if you are a herbalist. Can be soloed by most classes.
**Arakkoa mobs and Monstrous Kaliris all give 10 reputation points when killed, regardless of reputation level. Forest-Ragers give 30 reputation points. Skettis Kaliris give 5 reputation points until Exalted.

Quest: Hungry Nether Rays (Non-repeatable)
From: Skyguard Handler Deesak (Blackwind Landing)
Reputation Reward: 250 Sha'tari Skyguard reputation points
Other Rewards: Choose from - 2 Adept's Elixir or 2 Elixir of Major Agility, 11g 99s

When you get the quest from Skyguard Handler Deesak, he will give you a Nether Ray Cage. It is your task to feed the Nether Ray in the cage with 10 Warp Chaser meat. The Warp Chasers are warp stalker mobs located around the perimeter of Skettis, just by the mountainsides. When you click on the Nether Ray Cage, you will release the hungry Nether Ray as your companion. You will need to feed it with the Warp Stalkers around Skettis, and they need to be recently killed for the pet to eat them. Also, you need to be near the Warp Stalker before it dies, meaning ranged classes should move close to the Warp Stalker before it dies so you would get credit for the kill and the Nether Ray will move in and eat the Warp Stalker. Once the Nether Ray starts eating the Warp Stalker, wait for the confirmation dialogue that you got the credit before moving on to the next, or the Nether Ray might stop eating and start following you, losing the credit for the recent kill. This is also most effective to be done with a group. If you are grouped with people with the same quest, you will all get credit for how many you are in the group. So if you're grouped with 1 other person, you'll get double credit (your kill credit + your groupmate's kill credit). When you finally get 10 kills and they all have been eaten by your Nether Ray, you may go back to Deesak and complete your quest.

Quest: World of Shadows (Non-repeatable)
From: Severin (Blackwind Landing)
Reputation Reward: 250 Sha'tari Skyguard reputation points
Other Rewards: 1 Elixir of Shadows, 11g 99s

This quest will require you to turn in 6 Shadow Dusts. These Shadow Dusts drop from any of the Arakkoa mobs all around Skettis. This does not include the Kaliri mobs, or the other mobs around Skettis. While they have a rather low drop rate, you can still gain Sha'tari Skyguard reputation points from killing these mobs, so grinding for them is still good. Also, these Shadow Dusts are not soulbound, so you can also get them from the Auction House if you do not prefer on grinding Arakkoa mobs for them.

Quest: More Shadow Dust (Repeatable)
From: Severin (Blackwind Landing)
Reputation Reward: 150 Sha'tari Skyguard reputation points
Other Rewards: 1 Elixir of Shadows

After completing World of Shadows quest, you can start turning in more Shadow Dusts for more Elixir of Shadows to Severin. It will be the same amount of Shadow Dust for 1 Elixir of Shadows, and this time for every turn in you will get 150 reputation points. This can be a decent source of reputation points if you like farming lots of these dusts from the mobs.

Quest: Secrets of the Talonpriests (Non-repeatable)
From: Sky Commander Adaris (Blackwind Landing)
Reputation Reward: 250 Sha'tari Skyguard reputation points
Other Rewards: 7g 59s

Right after completing the World of Shadows quest, there will be a brief dialogue scene with Severin and Sky Commander Adaris concerning the Arakkoa Assassins. Sky Commander Adaris will kill some assassins in front of them. After they have finished their dialogues, Sky Commander will now offer this quest, and what you need to do is kill the 3 named talonpriests. They are Time-Lost Arakkoa, meaning you will need the Elixir of Shadows to see them. Time-Lost Arakkoa are fairly similar to normal Skettis Arakkoa, only difference is that they can only attack / be seen / killed by people who has the effect of Elixir of Shadows on them. Other people will not see / attack them, and they can't be attacked by them either. They are commonly seen together with Skettis Arakkoa in their camps. Be careful while dealing with them because the number of enemies you're facing have increased, with the Skettis Arakkoa and Time-Lost Arakkoa that can see and aggro you. You can get the Elixir of Shadows you'll need to see them from the previous quest World of Shadows. The elixir lasts for 20 minutes, and persists through death. If you run out of elixir, you can just turn in more batches of Shadow Dusts to Severin and get more Elixir of Shadows in the process. You can get reputation while doing this too, similar to turning in Encrypted Twilight Texts for reputation points for Cenarion Circle.

The locations of the 3 Talonpriests are:
70,74 - Talonpriest Zellek
69,78 - Talonpriest Ishaal
70,82 - Talonpriest Skizzik

Talonpriests Zellek and Ishaal are located at the top of tree balconies, while Talonpriest Skizzik resides on a small arakkoa hut below, together with a Skettis Windwalker. Be careful when dealing with the Time-Lost Arakkoa that are located atop the tree balconies, since they are often too close with each other and may outnumber you if you're not careful, not to mention the normal Skettis Arakkoa that is situated there.

Quest: Ishaal's Almanac (Non-repeatable)
From: Ishaal's Almanac (Item starts quest)
Reputation Reward: 75 Sha'tari Skyguard reputation points
Other Rewards: 3g 75s

Once you kill Talonpriest Ishaal, he will drop an item called Ishaal's Almanac, which starts a quest. All you need to do is deliver this item back to Sky Commander Adaris at the Blackwind Landing.

Quest: An Ally in Lower City (Non-repeatable)
From: Sky Commander Adaris (Blackwind Landing)
Reputation Reward: 75 Sha'tari Skyguard reputation points
Other Rewards: 3g 75s

After delivering the Almanac to Sky Commander Adaris, he will then send you to Rilak the Redeemed in Shattrath City. He is located at the north side of Shattrath City, at the Lower City part.

Quest: Countdown to Doom (Non-repeatable)
From: Rilak the Redeemed (Shattrath City)
Reputation Reward: 75 Sha'tari Skyguard reputation points
Other Rewards: 3g 75s

Once you have delivered Ishaal's Almanac to Rilak the Redeemed, he will then ask you to return to Sky Commander Adaris to inform him of the coming of Terokk.

Quest: Hazzik's Bargain (Non-repeatable)
From: Hazzik (Blackwind Landing)
Reputation Reward: 75 Sha'tari Skyguard reputation points
Other Rewards: 3g 75s

Right after informing Sky Commander Adaris of the grave news, the caged Arakkoa beside him will whisper you to speak with him. He will then give you this quest, to retrieve his package from his hut at the Upper Veil Shilak. Upper Veil Shilak is located at around northeast of Skettis. When you arrive there, you will see several huts surrounding a summoning circle. Hazzik's Package is located on the very first hut to the left when you arrive there. Its specific coordinates are 75,80. There is a Skettis Windwalker inside so you'll need to kill it first before you can retrieve the package. Return to Hazzik once you have retrieved the package.

Quest: A Shabby Disguise (Non-repeatable)
From: Hazzik (Blackwind Landing)
Reputation Reward: 150 Sha'tari Skyguard reputation points
Other Rewards: 5g 70s

After delivering Hazzik's Package back to him in Blackwind Landing, he will then send you to an Arakkoa scribe living on the center island in Skettis. Hazzik wants you to go to Sahaak, the Arakkoa scribe, and obtain the Adversarial Bloodlines book from him while using the contents of the package you just retrieved, a Shabby Arakkoa Disguise. After receiving the quest, just fly over to the center island where a large summoning circle is and kill the single patrolling arakkoa here. After killing it, use the disguise and follow the path below to the hut. Inside is Sahaak, talk to him and buy the book from him for 3 gold, then return to Hazzik with the book. Sahaak's specific coordinates are 67,80.

Quest: Adversarial Blood (Repeatable, 3-man)
From: Hazzik (Blackwind Landing)
Reputation Reward: 350 Sha'tari Skyguard reputation points (upon initial completion)
Other Rewards: 9g 48s (upon initial completion), Time-Lost Offering

Upon delivering the Adversarial Bloodlines book back to Hazzik, he will now give you this next quest, which requires at least 3 people to do. This quest will have you summon 4 elite mini-bosses from the small summoning circles scattered all around Skettis and get the required quest item from each of them. But, to summon them you'll be needing Time-Lost Scrolls on each summoning circle. You can get the Time-Lost Scrolls from the Time-Lost arakkoa mobs, so this means you'll need to farm for more Shadow Dusts for more Elixirs of Shadows, then use them to farm for the Time-Lost Scrolls from the Time-Lost arakkoa. If you don't want to trouble yourself with this, you can just search the Auction House for the scrolls if someone else is selling them. Once you got around 40 scrolls, get a group going and go to the small summoning circles around Skettis. Clear first the arakkoa mobs surrounding the circle so you wont be bothered by them while you are killing the summoned creature. Once there, look for the skull pile at the center of the circle and click on it. You can then choose which creature to summon. These creatures have different abilities, so be careful.

Summoned Creature details
Darkscreecher Akkarai - mage arakkoa. Casts Frostbolts and sometimes does Fire Blast. Every around 20 seconds, he will summon 3 bird adds. These adds don't hit very much and can just be AoE'd.
Karrog - rock elemental. Initially, he can be easily tanked. After a while, he will "Fixate" on someone and increase his damage greatly. While he fixates on someone, his speed is greatly reduced, so all you need to do is just kite him if you get fixated.
Gezzarak the Huntress - warp stalker. Can cast a debuff called Warped Armor which reduces armor to 0. Also can "Focus" on a target, warping to them and attacking. As he warps to this person, aggro is dropped, so be careful. He occasionally AoEs after he warps, so make sure to spread out.
Vakkiz the Windrager - wind serpent. Casts chain lightning while its health is above 50%. Once he drops to 50% health, he changes into a bone form, and will start to cast Bone Spray instead. This hits for a measly amount initially, then increases in damage every time he casts it. When he's at 50%, blow all your cooldowns and kill him immediately.

These mini-boss creatures drop only 1 quest item, and are green-quality, so they can be rolled on and only 1 person can get the quest item. It's suggested that everyone passes on the quest item except for the person who took the trouble to use his scrolls to summon the creature. Aside from the quest item, they will also drop a random blue-quality item. They are commonly BoE randomly enchanted blue, except for their unique blue drop. After getting all quest items from each summoned creature, return to Hazzik to receive a Time-Lost Offering, which is needed to summon Terokk.

Quest: Terokk's Downfall (Non-repeatable, 5-man)
From: Sky Commander Adaris (Blackwind Landing)
Reputation Reward: 1000 Sha'tari Skyguard reputation points
Other Rewards: 24g 60s, Choose from - Jeweled Rod (Caster wand), Scout's Throwing Knives (Thrown weapon), Severin's Cane (Healer staff) or Windcharger's Lance (Polearm)

After completing Adversarial Blood, Sky Commander Adaris will have a new quest, which is to summon Terokk at the central island and kill him. This quest requires 5 people to complete, since Terokk is rather hard. Once you get your group, move in to the central island and get ready. To summon Terokk, you will need the Time-Lost Offering you received from doing Adversarial Blood quest. Make sure everyone is buffed up and ready before summoning Terokk, since if you wipe, you'll lose your Time-Lost Offering, and you'll have to summon the 4 mini-bosses again and get another Time-Lost Offering.

Terokk is pretty tank-and-spank at the start, just spread out. He occasionally does Shadow Bolt volley which hits for a moderate amount. He also "chooses" a person every so often, which buffs the person with increased damage/healing and increased size. But during this time, Terokk will focus his attention to this "chosen" person so get ready and heal the person as needed. The buff will fade after a few seconds. Once he reaches around 25% health, he will be immune to everything. During this time, you can't do anything to him so use this time to rest, regen mana and heal up. He can still attack your tank so you need to continue healing the tank. At this point, there will be some dialogues with the Skyguard, which says they will help you in the fight. After a while, there will be a blue flare that will be thrown on the ground. The tank needs to move Terokk to that blue flare immediately. After a couple of seconds, the location of the blue flare will be set ablaze with blue flames. This flame will burn Terokk and make him vulnerable to attacks again, but will also enrage him. The tank will also receive burn damage from the flames so the healer must be ready and heal the tank at this time while Terokk's enraged. The rest of the group should DPS him hard while he is vulnerable. After several seconds, Terokk will be immune again, and the tank needs to find another blue flare location and bring Terokk there as soon as possible. Just repeat this process until you kill him. Terokk's death is worth 500 reputation points, and drops some good loot too. This also completes your quest for 1000 more reputation points, and some nice blue rewards.

If you want to kill Terokk again with a group, you just need to do and summon the 4 mini-bosses again and get their quest items, turn them in and get a Time-Lost Offering to summon Terokk again.

Quest: Fires Over Skettis (Daily)
From: Sky Sergeant Doryn (Blackwind Landing)
Reputation Reward: 350 Sha'tari Skyguard reputation points
Other Rewards: 11g 99s

Sky Sergean Doryn will give you a Skyguard Blasting Charges item, and will ask you to destroy the Monstrous Kaliri eggs located atop the arakkoa buildings in Skettis while riding a flying mount or in flight form (if you're a druid). These eggs look like large spider eggs. Seems pretty easy, but beware of the Monstrous Kaliris that roam around Skettis. They are large red birds which are very annoying. They can hamstring you while flying which is dangerous and will make you very vulnerable to Monstrous Kaliri pecking, not to mention the chance to get dazed and fall off of your mount. There are several recommended spots for bombing, and these are mostly the tops of the triangular arakkoa huts. Most of them has 3 eggs situated at their tops. Also, the platforms where the Skyguard Prisoner usually spawns are good spots too, together with its connecting balcony across the bridge. Blast down 20 eggs and you're done with this daily quest.

Quest: Escape from Skettis (Daily)
From: Skyguard Prisoner (Skettis, various locations)
Reputation Reward: 350 Sha'tari Skyguard reputation points
Other Rewards: 9g 10s, Choose from - 2 Volatile Healing Potion or 2 Unstable Mana Potion

While farming in Skettis treetops, you may sometimes find a caged Skyguard Prisoner. This NPC offers a daily escort quest, which requires you to escort the Skyguard Prisoner to the base of the connecting treetop. It's just a short distance and only several mobs are on the way. Also, once the prisoner reaches about halfway of the escort, 2 Skettis Wing Guards will spawn and ambush you and the prisoner. Just kill them and proceed to the base of the ramp. Once you reach the base of the ramp, wait for the confirmation and the quest will finish.

There are 3 specific treetop spots on where the Skyguard Prisoner might spawn. These are:
61,75 - west Skettis
68,74 - north Skettis
75,86 - southeast Skettis

If you can't find the prisoner on one of the spots, try looking for him on his other spawn points. If he isn't on any, he might be undergoing escort from another party, so you'll need to wait for them to finish, then look for him again on the 3 spawn points.

Skyguard Taxi
When you reach Honored reputation level for the Sha'tari Skyguard and you have already started questing at the Blade's Edge Mountains outpost, you can hitch a free 'taxi' ride from Skettis to Vortex Pinnacle and vice versa. Just talk to the Skyguard Handler NPC on either outpost. If you're in Skettis, talk to Sky Handler Deesak to go to the Vortex Pinnacle outpost, and talk to Sky Handler Irena if you're at the Skyguard Outpost in Blade's Edge if you want to go to Skettis.

Sha'tari Skyguard Alternate Quest Hub: Vortex Pinnacle, Blade's Edge Mountains
Apart from the main quest hub in Skettis, the Sha'tari Skyguard also has an outpost in Blade's Edge Mountains. Just a little to the north of Ogri'la at the Vortex Pinnacle, you will find a small detachment of Sha'tari Skyguard personnel. This is another quest hub for getting Sha'tari Skyguard reputation points. But before you can avail of their quests, you must first finish the series of 5-man quests to open up the Ogri'la quests, then do the initial Ogri'la quests. Once you have done this and finished the initial Ogri'la quests up to A Father's Duty, Chu'a'lor in Ogri'la will then give you a quest to talk to Sky Commander Keller. Completing this quest opens up the Sha'tari Skyguard quests in Blade's Edge Mountains.

Quest: An Apexis Relic (Non-repeatable)
From: Chu'a'lor (Ogri'la)
Reputation Reward: 250 Sha'tari Skyguard reputation points, 250 Ogri'la reputation points
Other Rewards: 11g 99s

This quest is part of a chain of quests from Ogri'la. The quest preceding this is The Crystals quest, where you need to gather 5 Apexis Shards. You will need these shards for doing this quest. Scattered along the sides of Vortex Pinnacle are some weird crystals floating from platforms guarded by Gan'args. The small crystals surrounding the big one is what you need to activate. Choose one and click the floating crystal. To activate the crystal, you will need an Apexis Shard. Activating the crystal will start a mini-game similar to Simon Says. The crystal will initially beam a random series of laser sequence going to its corresponding corner on its platform depending on the color of the laser. After the crystal has shown the series of beams, you will need to repeat the sequence by clicking on the little orbs on the platform just as how the series of beam colors were presented. Initially, it will be a single beam, then it will increase the series by 1 every time. This mini-game quest involves memory, but you can just write down the sequence on a piece of paper, or just type it down on the chatbox to help you remember the sequence. If ever you clicked on a wrong color on the sequence, the crystal will zap you dealing moderate damage.

To attain the required Apexis Vibrations buff, you must complete 6 color sequences successfully. Return to Chu'a'lor once you have attained Apexis Vibrations.

Quest: Assault on Bash'ir Landing! (Non-repeatable)
From: Sky Commander Keller (Skyguard Outpost)
Reputation Reward: 10 Sha'tari Skyguard reputation points
Other Rewards: 1g 19s

This quest just requires you to talk to the Aether-tech Apprentice nearby about the assault on Bash'ir Landing located north of Blade's Edge Mountains. This is a timed event which automatically happens every 2 hours. Talking to the Aether-tech Apprentice won't trigger the start of the event. You will just complete the quest, and the Aether-tech Apprentice will tell you how long until the event starts. When the event starts, several Skyguard NPCs will show up at the outpost, and will start flying in convoy towards Bash'ir Landing. The event involves waves of mobs attacking the Skyguard assault team, and will basically require a large number of people in a raid. There are no direct rewards to this event, only that there are certain NPCs that will spawn depending on how the event has progressed successfully, which will offer wares for you to buy like Unstable flasks or rare gems.

Quest: Banish the Demons (Non-repeatable)
From: Kronk (Ogri'la)
Reputation Reward: 350 Sha'tari Skyguard reputation points, 350 Ogri'la reputation points
Other Rewards: 11g 99s, Darkrune

Once you have reached Honored reputation with Ogri'la, Kronk will offer this quest. He will give you a banishing crystal and ask you to go to either Forge Camps in Vortex Pinnacle and banish the demons there. Any forge camp will do, as long as the mobs you kill are demons. But to banish the demons, you need to use the Banishing Crystal which requires an Apexis Shard per activation. Once activated, a portal will appear. You must lure the demons you are going to kill near this portal before killing them. Once they die, their souls get banished and sucked into the portal. The mob doesn't need to be tapped by you to be successfully banished. You can still gain banish credit from the demon even if it were tapped by other people not in your group, as long as the demon dies near your portal. The demon must die within the portal's "sucking" range so you can successfully gain credit for the quest. After successfully banishing 15 demons, return to Kronk to get your reward.

Quest: Guardian of the Monument (Non-repeatable, 5-man)
From: Chu'a'lor (Ogri'la)
Reputation Reward: 500 Sha'tari Skyguard reputation points, 500 Ogri'la reputation points
Other Rewards: 24g 60s

Remember the Simon Says quest you've just done? This quest is fairly the same with that, only difference is that you will need a group for this since you will need to kill a summoned elite mob. To summon it, you will need 35 Apexis Shards. Once you have the shards, clear the whole Apexis Monument of the Gan'args, then click on the large floating crystal in the center. After doing this, it will activate a giant version of Simon Says, which you'll need to click on the corresponding color from the sequence. You'll need to assign a person to a corner orb since the orbs are far apart, and you must coordinate with each other for doing the sequences. After doing 6 sequences, or just failing the sequence, the Apexis Guardian will appear, so the tank needs to pick it up immediately. The guardian is basically tank-and-spank, and is very easy. Just be careful of his ability that would target a random person and turn him into a large crystal, stunning him for the duration and affecting anyone nearby him. The guardian will drop the quest item needed and everyone in the group can get one.

Quest: Bombing Run (Non-repeatable)
From: Sky Sergeant Vanderlip (Skyguard Outpost)
Reputation Reward: 500 Sha'tari Skyguard reputation points, 500 Ogri'la reputation points
Other Rewards: 11g 99s

This is similar to the bombing quest in Skettis. But this time, you'll be targetting Fel Cannonball Stacks scattered around either Forge Camps in Vortex Pinnacle. These cannonball stacks are situated beside a Fel Flak Cannon. You can easily see them from the air since they have the "Hunter's Mark" on top of them. If Skettis has the Monstrous Kaliri hindering your bombing run, this time the Flak Cannons will shoot you down. When you get hit by the cannon, you will automatically dismount from your flying mount or return to caster form if you're a druid in flight form. Not only getting dismounted, you will get a Fel Flak Fire DoT on you which deals a small damage to you over time. Mounted people are going to be in trouble with this if they get shot down, since fall damage can hurt plus the fire DoT from the cannon hit. Druids on the other hand can just recover from being hit by just shifting back to flight form immediately after being shot. They will still have the DoT on them but at least they won't get the falling damage. A tip for doing this bombing run is just continue flying while dropping the bombs on the cannonball stacks. Even if the act of bombing shows a casting bar, you can still successfully drop them while continuously flying. This way, you can avoid being shot down by the flak cannons. You can fly low to ensure you're in range of bombing, or you can fly high and just dive in to drop the bomb then fly up again. After destroying 15 cannonball stacks, go back to Sky Sergeant Vanderlip for your money reward.

Quest: Wrangle Some Aether Rays! (Non-repeatable)
From: Skyguard Khatie (Skyguard Outpost)
Reputation Reward: 350 Sha'tari Skyguard reputation points, 350 Ogri'la reputation points
Other Rewards: 11g 99s

Scattered all around Vortex Pinnacle are neutral Aether Rays. Once you get this quest, you will get a Wrangling Rope which you'll need to capture these Aether Rays. This quest is very simple, all you need to do is get Aether Rays and bring them down to 20%. Once their at 20% or below, you can start wrangling the Aether Ray by clicking on the Wrangling Rope. It will take a while before the Aether Ray gets successfully wrangled, so be careful not to kill the Aether Ray while in the process of wrangling. Putting up DoTs on the Aether Ray can be dangerous and might kill the Aether Ray, unless you are very sure the DoT will fade by the time you are going to wrangle it. Wrangle 5 Aether Rays and then return to Skyguard Khatie for your reward.

Quest: To Rule the Skies (Non-repeatable, 5-man)
From: Sky Commander Keller (Skyguard Outpost)
Reputation Reward: 500 Sha'tari Skyguard reputation points
Other Rewards: 24g 60s

While wandering around Vortex Pinnacle, you may experience being shot down by something when you are flying very high. The one that shot you down is a roaming dragon. This quest requires you to go to one of the dragon nests nearby and summon the dragon, then kill it for the quest item. You need to complete Bombing Run and Wrangle Some Aether Rays quests first before you can get this quest. There are 2 nests in Vortex Pinnacle, and 2 other at the northern plateau in Blade's Edge Mountains. Any of these nests will do since any of these dragons will drop the quest item. To summon the dragon from their nest, you need 35 Apexis Shards. Once you have formed your group of 5, go to a nest and click on the egg there. A baby dragon will appear after you click on the egg, and this whelp will try to call on its mother. Wait for the dragon to come down and get ready to catch it. All of these dragons have the basic dragon abilities (Bellowing Roar, Tail Sweep, etc), except that there's a unique ability for each dragon.

Dragon Unique Abilities and Nest Coordinates
Furywing (27,64) - Wing Buffet, reduces threat on the primary target
Insidion (34,54) - Flame Buffet, increases fire damage taken by the group
Obsidia (66,14) - Hellfire, similar to a warlock's Hellfire
Rivendark (62,7) - Corruption, similar to a warlock's Corruption

Aside from the quest item, each dragon will drop its unique scale. This is a blue-quality loot, and can be looted by everyone. When you get all scales from every dragon, you can create a blue cloak item with a random enchantment on it. If you don't like the cloak stats, you can exchange this for an Apexis Crystal by talking to Sky Commander Keller in the Skyguard Outpost.

Quest: Bomb Them Again! (Daily)
From: Sky Sergeant Vanderlip (Skyguard Outpost)
Reputation Reward: 500 Sha'tari Skyguard reputation points, 500 Ogri'la reputation points
Other Rewards: 11g 99s, 15 Apexis Shard

This quest will be made available after doing Bombing Run. This is just the same as the Bombing Run quest, only that this is a daily repeatable quest.

Quest: Wrangle More Aether Rays! (Daily)
From: Skyguard Khatie (Skyguard Outpost)
Reputation Reward: 350 Sha'tari Skyguard reputation points, 350 Ogri'la reputation points
Other Rewards: 11g 99s, 15 Apexis Shard

This quest will be made available after doing Wrangle Some Aether Rays!. This is just the same as the Wrangle Some Aether Rays! quest, only that this is a daily repeatable quest.

These are all the quests you'll need to raise your Sha'tari Skyguard reputation. If you have completed them all and you still need more reputation points, you can just go to Skettis and grind for those points manually by killing Arakkoa. Otherwise, you can do the 4 daily quests (2 from Skettis, 2 from Vortex Pinnacle) to get 1550 Sha'tari Skyguard reputation points per day. An alternative is to repeatedly turn in 6 Shadow Dusts for 150 reputation points per turn in. These Shadow Dusts are not soulbound, so if you have the money and you hate manually grinding for reputation, you can just look for these in the auction house and buy them. You will need 1560 Shadow Dusts in total if you want to increase your reputation from Friendly level to Exalted. Another alternative is to join groups who are doing the mini-summonings for the Adversarial Blood quest. Each summon provides reputation points per kill, and if your group went and killed Terokk right after, he gives 500 reputation for the kill. Grinding for the reputation points manually is a good source of income too, since you can sell the Shadow Dusts and Time-Lost Scrolls in the auction house.

Enjoy your reputation grinding and go for that Nether Ray mount!
